Escuchela.. La Ciudad Respirando
Talib Kweli & Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) are Black Star. Two of the illest emcees out of Brooklyn in the late 90′s, drop in my opinion one of the most influential albums before the new millennium. Respiration is the second single off the album featuring Chicago’s Common and produced by Hi-Tek. Another example of timeless material that one could relate back from 98 into the foreseeable future. The city thrives with or without, one moment of sunshine can turn into gritty Gotham.
Some cats be emceeing to illustrate what we be seeing / Hard to be a spiritual being when shit is shakin what you believe in / For trees to grow in Brooklyn, seeds need to be planted / I’m asking / if y’all feel me AND THE CROWD LEFT ME STRANDED – Mos Def
